PDFYap — Privacy Policy

PDFYap is a document scanner that turns paper and photos into PDF files. It works entirely on your device. The app contains no networking code of any kind — it cannot send your documents anywhere, because it has no way to reach the internet.

What the app accesses

• Camera — only while you are actively scanning a document, and only to capture the pages you photograph. Frames are processed on your device and are never recorded, buffered for later, or sent anywhere.
• Photo library — only the specific photos you pick. PDFYap uses the iOS photo picker, so the app receives only your chosen images and has no access to the rest of your library.

iOS will ask your permission before either is used, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings.

Where your documents live

PDFs you create are written to PDFYap's private storage area on your device. They are not backed up to any server operated by us, because we do not operate any server. If you use iCloud Backup or encrypted local backups, your device backup may include them — that is handled by Apple under Apple's terms, not by us.

Deleting the app removes its documents from your device permanently. There is no copy anywhere else.

What the app does not do

• No accounts, sign-in, or registration
• No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or usage measurement
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers
• No tracking, and no data shared with any third party
• No third-party SDKs or libraries of any kind — the app uses only Apple's own frameworks
• No location data

When you share a document

If you use the share button to send a PDF — by mail, message, to Files, or to another app — the file goes wherever you send it, and from that point it is governed by the privacy policy of the service or app you chose. PDFYap has no visibility into or control over what happens after you share.

Children

PDFYap is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Data protection laws such as the GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK give you rights to access, correct, and erase personal data held about you. We hold none — there is no account, no database, and no record of you or your use of the app. Your documents are yours, on your device, and you can delete them at any time from within the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with an updated date. If a future version of the app ever adds a feature that transmits data, this policy will say so plainly and clearly before that version ships.
